This week is Red Ribbon Week at school for the girls. They love this week because they get to do all kinds of fun things including dressing up and having assemblies about saying NO to drugs. Today is Crazy Hair Day. It makes me laugh to think about how many moms got up today trying to rack their brains for something creative to satisfy their kids and help them take part in the Crazy Hair Day. Athena and Samantha kept talking about it last night because they were so excited. Here is what we came up with.
A side view of just how tall their hair is.
I'm hoping it lasts until the end of the day. They both thought this was pretty neat!

Wow! How did you even DO that?
I put a little plastic cup underneath and brushed the hair around it. Samantha didn't want her hair like that at first, but then she saw Athena's and was sold!
I learned last year to be very careful on crazy hair day. With boys my options are limited as to what we can do. I bought colored hair spray to make designs in their hair. As you know, Connor's hair is extremely blond and fine textured. I sprayed his hair with black and orange. The black washed out pretty well...the orange? Well, we had to let it grow out. After a few cuts over a couple of months his hair was finally blond and not orange/blond. I tried everything I could think of to get it out including dish soap and it wouldn't budge! Oh well. The girls' hair looks great!
did they have headaches at the end of the day? I still have to pry WIRE out of Sara's hair, ugh!
I saw Sara's hair and thought it looked so cute! I loved the braids. I hope it wasn't too hard to get out.
Both girls were losing the cups out of their hair by the end of the day.
Cynthia, I can't believe the orange didn't wash out! It makes me worried because I'm planning on spraying Athena's hair black and white for Halloween. I hope it's ok.
