Asking for Suggestions

Believe it or not, with all the cooking I do - I still sit and chop all my veggies myself.

I want to get a food processor that will slice, chop, and dice vegetables and will also grate cheese. Does anyone have any great recommendations? Please tell me what you have and what you like or don't like about it. Also, I don't want to spend a fortune.

Thanks! I sure do appreciate it!!!

I had a kitchen aid food processor once upon a time. I loved it. Hated to clean it and find all the parts, but loved it anyway. Since then, I have gone a little simpler, and I guess I am prepared for the day I don't have electricity (I guess). I like the kitchenaid slap chopper (I think that's what it is called). You can use it on anything and chop it up as much as you want. All the way from Eggs to nuts. And I use the pampered chef mandolin (sp?) for slicing and grating. But there is also an attachement that you can buy and just put on the front of you regular kitchen aid that can do anything from grating to grinding (just an idea).

Hope you find what you are looking for!

I use my Pampered Chef chopper for chopping but I don't have anything for slicing. When I was kid my parents had an awesome food processor that did EVERYTHING. I haven't been able to find one like that but I keep looking.

I bought one from Robyn at her garage sale...it's done wonders when I take time to pull it out : )
it's a Hamilton Beach (slice, chop, grate)
