No School and it's Sunny!

Last Thursday and Friday the kids were out of school for Fall Break. Woo hoo! I usually like it when the kids are home because I miss them when they are at school. Thursday was such a nice day that we decided to take advantage of it and go to the park. It was so nice to get out and enjoy some sunshine! We are trying to soak in every last ounce before winter hits. Here is Nathan on the swing.

Athena and Samantha had a blast on the swings too. I like that they can now pump themselves to get higher, although Samantha still begs for "underdogs". I treated her to a couple while we were there.

I like going to the park because Alexandra gets something to climb. She LOVES to climb anything she can. She usually gets plenty of energy out while we are there.

Nathan does too. It's been cold before the Fall Break and Nathan asks me almost every day if we can go to the park and lately the answer has been no almost every day. He played to his heart's delight.

This is Alexandra's favorite way to get to the top - on these stairs that are way too big for her. It always makes me so nervous, but she insists on going up here every time and is actually pretty good at it.

On Wednesday afternoon I reattached the training wheels to this little bike. Nathan has completely adopted this bike and is having a ball riding around instead of riding the old big wheel. He rode it to the park today. I had to get a picture of it because it's a little pink girl's bike. For some reason Jeremy has a big problem with him riding this bike and thinks we must invest in a new one. I don't get it. Hopefully Nathan won't be tainted for life because I let him ride this little pink bike. He loves it.

When Athena saw me take a picture of Nathan on his bike, she wanted a turn to show off her neat trick. She thinks it's pretty cool to ride across the grass. I included this little video for your viewing pleasure.

Your a better mom than me when it comes to the park. For whatever reason, I have never liked taking the kids to the park. It always seems like an ordeal to me. Maybe I'll try a little harder to get them there, now that Callie turning 14!!
